| Short-Term Goals: * Increase the number of What If? Foundation donors so we can continue to fund nutritious meals for 1,000 children in the Tiplas Kazo neighborhood of Port-au-Prince 5 days every week.
The cost of the food program has increased significantly over the last year as a result of a sharp rise in global food prices. In December 2007, The Economist described it as the highest food price jump worldwide since 1845. Food prices have increased globally by 75% since 2005. * Provide elementary and high school scholarships in 2008/2009 to 150 girls and boys. Our scholarships pay for tuition, a uniform, books, and transportation costs. * Provide technical school/college scholarships to all the children we sponsor who graduate from high school. This year, we enrolled 18 students into technical school/college. Our goal for 2008/2009 is 25 scholarships. * Finance an annual six-week Summer Arts Camp for 450 children.
